Our vision

The new Auckland Council is a union of many diverse groups.
Our logo design represents this union. It has multiple components which come together at the centre of the logo representing a common goal.
The colours also reflect the Council's areas of responsibility... blue for waterways and ocean, green for land and orange for our vibrant people. Its elements suggest, water, land, active people, wind power and sea life. The logo shape is fluid and dynamic. It represents a forward thinking Council focused on harnessing all our regional strengths to grow our unique city.
The typeface used is Arial. People are familiar with this very readable font. It has structural integrity while still feeling soft and organic. We have slightly rounded the corners of the standard Arial typeface to give the logo a more distinctive and friendly feel.
